I have come to find that, in my case, notebooks and “quotebooks” perhaps shouldn’t mix. The quotes end up getting lost, never read again, eaten up by mounds of illegibly scribbled (often vain and repetitive) thoughts. Which is why I am, for now, separating them as thoroughly as I can, keeping thoughts on paper and transferring quotes onto a digital platform. I’m sure they will find a way to merge just the same, but at least I will have tried.
Befitting the theme of keeping quotes and notes separate, I have recently acquired a blog dedicated to producing my own (rather than collecting other people’s) writing, be it in the form of fiction or essays. Feel free to check it out.
